There I was thinking I snagged the best deal ever on a designer shirt on Amazon with 60% off the RRP. Wow, right? Wrong. What I thought was a treasure turned out to be nothing but a cheap rip-off. Do you know that the designer label was just a sticker? A sticker! It peeled off in my hand as soon as I touched it. Can you imagine? 😠

The quality of the shirt was appalling, even for counterfeits. I was flabbergasted! 😱 How could this be? I felt deceived, cheated, and downright angry. I lodged a complaint only to be met with excuses. The worst part? The listing is still there, months later, ready to trick more unsuspecting buyers.

The problem is that anyone can sell their products in this marketplace. It's now become a space where counterfeit goods thrive because they generate a huge profit. Unbelievable! 😤

This is not right. This is not fair. And guess what? We are being ignored because certain big businesses are too powerful. It's sad, really, how the essence of fair trade and competition has been lost. We need to fight back!

You wouldn't believe the assortment of items they offer! Everything from beauty and personal care products to nutritional supplements to health monitoring devices. And where are these products coming from? Mostly unknown Chinese brands, untested and definitely not up to snuff with regulatory standards.

Does snake oil ring a bell? 🐍 This is the level of product we're dealing with here. Bogus health claims and all! What's worse, these items have the potential to exacerbate existing health conditions or injuries!

And as if that's not bad enough, despite these products being dirt-cheap to manufacture, the prices on this so-called marketplace are sky high! 😤 This is what happens when a marketplace has a monopoly. It takes full advantage of the situation, squeezing every last penny from vulnerable individuals in desperate need of relief.

It's infuriating! 😡 The greed of Amazon is appalling!

And what of our government? Are they intervening? I'm afraid not. The sad reality is, they're not lifting a finger to stop this travesty. This marketplace should be shut down and penalized, not raking in billions and evading taxes.

Just listened to Jeremy Hunt's budget and it is a complete and utter sham, I can't help but wonder if he's living in some alternate universe where fake jobs and punishing the vulnerable are the keys to economic success. Apprenticeships for over 50's? Seriously? Apprenticeships don't even work for young people, so why on earth does he think they will work for older people? It's a complete and utter sham.

People want real jobs, not fake ones that don't even pay a the minimum wage. And yet, here we are, with the chancellor proposing apprenticeships for the over 50's, as if that's going to solve our economic woes. It's ridiculous, and it's insulting to young people who struggle to get a job or onto the property ladder.

But that's not even the worst of it. No, the real travesty is that the chancellor wants to make job centres even stricter, sanctioning more disabled people and making it even harder to claim benefits. It's cruel, it's heartless, and it's typical Tory nonsense. The fact that he expects ill or disabled people to work is beyond comprehension. How can he be so callous?

It's time for the Tories to wake up and smell the coffee. If they really want to help the economy, why don't they target the tax avoiding companies like Google and Amazon that are bleeding our economy dry? Iv been running an online ecommerce website for a number of years and google has been trying to thwart it from day one!!! 😡

Google's monopoly and shady tactics make it impossible to get noticed online without shelling out for their expensive ads. And even then, it's not enough and they try to rip you off with fake bot traffic - unless you give them all your profits just to be seen. It's like they want you to work for nothing! And don't even get me started on Amazon. It seems like they have some kind of dodgy pact with google to dominate both the organic search results and the paid ones...🤨

All of this hurts consumers too. With the lack of competition, prices are driven up, and innovation is stifled. It's just not fair. But you know what's even worse? Why do people still buy from Amazon? Amazon is full of cheap Chinese tat. I will never, ever purchase anything from them again after they sent me a fake counterfeit pair of headphones. I should have known better. Do not make the same mistake did of buying electronics from Amazon, unless you want to risk burning your house down due to their shoddy manufacturing practices. And to top it all off, these "made in China" products aren't even cheap! Amazon is clearly taking advantage of the current cost of living crisis and inflation by jacking up their prices as high as possible.
