James 2:1-4 (ESV) states, "My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, 'You sit here in a good place,' while you say to the poor man, 'You stand over there,' or, 'Sit down at my feet,' have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?”

The Lord has called us, not to judge, but to love and accept. Instead of questioning newcomers about their past or their social status, we should embrace them and show them Christ's love. When we do this, our church becomes a place of comfort and growth, not a tribunal of judgement.

In our personal lives, let us remember to practice what we preach. Let us open our hearts and homes to all, showing no partiality. This scripture calls us to humility and love, reminding us of the importance of acceptance.

Let us pray, "Dear Lord, help us to embody the impartiality that you have shown us. Inspire us to welcome all newcomers with open arms, just as you have welcomed us. Let our conduct reflect your teachings, and let your love shine through us. In Jesus' name, Amen."
