In Hebrews 13:1-2 (ESV), it says:
"Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."
These verses are clear in their message, aren't they? They urge us to keep our hearts open, to continue loving one another, and to be gracious to all - whether they are familiar faces or not. Now, think about this, the next time you see a lonely soul at church, take a moment to extend a warm welcome. Not for the sake of looking good, not to score 'points' with God but because you genuinely care about the person in front of you. Just like Jesus loves you, without any expectations.
Let's embrace the call to be genuine in our love, just as our Lord Jesus was. Let's fight the loneliness epidemic with our hospitality, our genuine caring, and our love. Let’s be the Church that God intended us to be, a place where everyone feels loved, valued, and welcomed. 🕊

"Dear Heavenly Father, help us to be genuine in our love for others. Help us to show hospitality without expecting anything in return, just as Jesus did. Remind us that we might be entertaining angels unawares. Guide us to be a beacon of Your unconditional love and acceptance. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
