What is the point of being part of a church that is supposed to promote love, acceptance and kindness when the congregation can't even be bothered to say hello to a new person? Is it too much to ask for a little bit of human decency and common courtesy? Apparently so, because the Anglican church network seems to have a serious problem with it.
I mean, seriously, what the is wrong with these people? Are they all just too busy being snobby, self-righteous and judgmental to take a moment and say hello to someone new?
What is this, high school? Are we all back in the cafeteria, trying to find a place at the popular kids' table? It's pathetic, really. If you're going to be part of a church, then you should be open to all people, regardless of who they are or where they come from. But apparently, that's just too much to ask for some people.
I have to give credit where credit is due, though. The ministers at this church are friendly enough. But let's be real, they're just doing their job. They know that if they're not welcoming to new people, then the church isn't going to grow and they won't be able to collect their precious tithes.
But the congregation? They couldn't care less. They're too busy gossiping and judging each other to even notice that there are new people in the church. It's pathetic, really. And it's no wonder that the Anglican church network is struggling to grow. Who would want to be part of a community that is so unfriendly and unwelcoming?
So, for people who go to an Anglican network church, I have one thing to say: get your act together. You can't call yourselves a community of love and acceptance if you can't even be bothered to say hello to a new person. It's time to start practicing what you preach, or else you'll find yourselves with an empty church and no one to blame but yourselves. #AnglicanChurchNetwork #church #Christianity
